I used to have the sweetest dreams at night because you used to be my lullaby. Suddenly, you didn't want to sing to me. Now my whole world's a nightmare whether I'm awake or asleep. I of course wish you the best wherever you go, but I'll always miss that person that I used to know. You used to be my telescope, helping me find a shooting star when there was no hope. Suddenly, every lens was shattered. I could look for days on end, it wouldn't matter. I of course wish you the best wherever you go, but I'll always miss that person that I used to know.

Fool's Gold 03:49
Once upon a time we talked of happily ever after, and like gravity the words made me fall faster every day and left me dizzy, completely blind, it didn't hit me that every free fall ends the same. Everything we had is like a pot of gold nonexistent at the end of a rainbow. It all seemed so real, it all seemed so perfect, but it was just an illusion. We're nonexistent at the end of a rainbow. Flowers by my bed you gave me a long time ago, now they just remind me you don't love me anymore. Even though I know they're wilted, can't get myself to throw them away. Does every free fall end the same? Everything we had is like a pot of gold nonexistent at the end of a rainbow. It all seemed so real, it all seemed so perfect, but it was just an illusion. We're nonexistent at the end of a rainbow. No matter how far I go, I don't find what I'm looking for. I was chasing thin air and nothing more. Everything we had is like a pot of gold nonexistent at the end of a rainbow. It all seemed so real, it all seemed so perfect, but it was just an illusion. We're nonexistent at the end of a rainbow.

You've got me under your spell; It hasn't worked so well for me. So I am flying south for winter, summer, fall, and spring. I'll set sail for the coast and let go of this anchor I've been holding on to. If I don't I'll drown; you're pulling me under. We're all born with a built-in beating compass, no thought needed; you should just feel it. We're all born with a built-in beating compass. I'm swaying back and forth, so determined to find my new due north. Everyone around is telling me that I am way off course. But the voices inside my head don't agree. They keep telling me.... We're all born with a built-in beating compass, no thought needed; you should just feel it. We're all born with a built-in beating compass. I feel myself begin to fall between the cracks. I've lost myself to something I know I'll regret. Another face, forgotten names, winding circles for a path. I'll step aside and watch it slide, swept in to the past. We're all born with a built-in beating compass, no thought needed; you should just feel it. We're all born with a built-in beating compass.

Twitterpated 02:59
You were my wake up call I thought I'd seen it all until you tore the blindfold from my eyes. Now every step takes me to you, there's nothing that I wouldn't do just to keep you as mine. I used to be so afraid of falling, now I'm just dying to jump. You came along and stole all my senses and now I can't get enough. Oh, I can't believe my eyes. You make the world a paradise. I can't believe I finally found the one. You were my wake up call I used to be so lost until you became my compass. Now I can connect the dots, I'll follow you at any cost because you're all I ever wanted. I used to be so afraid of falling, now I'm addicted to the rush. You came along and stole all my senses, and now I can't get enough. Oh, I can't believe my eyes. You make the world a paradise. I can't believe I finally found the one. Like a mirage in the distance, I can't resist the way you make me feel. When I look at you, it's too good to be true. I've never felt something so real. Oh, I can't believe my eyes. You make the world a paradise. I can't believe I finally found the one.

Give me a time machine but don't ask if I would go forward or if I'd go back. Nothing makes sense, but nonetheless, I'm convinced that I am who I am thanks to you. It's hard to fall apart without a warning, but if this is goodnight, then I will see you in the morning. It's bittersweet; I try my best to feel complete. Because I am who I am thanks to you. I am who I am thanks to you. They say a better place is where I'll find you, and if I'm ever feeling low I'll know I'm right behind you. Memories age but they will never fade Because I am who I am thanks to you. I am who I am thanks to you.

As sure as the sun will rise you made your way in to my life had never been so sweet as we fell head first in to our dreams, hopes, and where we'd go, we laughed at everything we didn't know or care what they would say, just that we had never felt this way about anyone or anything. I blinked once, I thought twice, I watched you walk away, my third strike. If I'd known what I know now, I'd make you stay some way some how. Make you stay some way some how. I live life day to day trying to except the change. I cling to every second glance but it's quick sand. I know I had my chance to treat you right, now I'll never sleep at night knowing that it's all my fault. I can't believe I let you slip right though my finger tips. I blinked once, I thought twice, I watched you walk away, my third strike. If I'd known what I know now, I'd make you stay some way some how. Make you stay some way some how.
